It’s a loooong drive inside a car…

July 20, 2009

Hellllooooo friends,

I hope you are having a fun summer and staying happy & busy. A quick update on some recent events, news and upcoming shows.

The ole’ man and I are currently “acclimating” to the heat here in sunny, HOT, Dallas, TX and enjoying the break from long-distance driving. After 2 weeks in Minnesota, fishin, drinkin and seeing family we high-tailed it down to Waco, TX to spend Independance Day with the Darlins. Sitting on noodles in the lake is pretty much the best way to watch fireworks, hands down. We spent a long weekend in Waco and then headed down to San Antonio to stay in a castle on a hill. More on that as soon as I can find the darn cord for our camera! ha.

It’s now been 8 months since we left LA on our gypsy adventure. We’ve had an amazing time traveling the country, hanging with old friends, making new ones and watching the seasons change as we drove through rain, sleet, snow and shine. While our our wanderlusting is by no means satiated, we are looking forward to staying put for a spell and watching eggs fry on the pavement here in Texas for the summer. The cicada’s are singing and family is near. I’m a very happy girl.

Below is a map of our adventures so far and some current events:
